LFS UK 2025 saw us return to International Student House in Central London on September 13th this year. We had a great turn out, with people travelling from all over the UK to attend.

The event was kicked off by Abbi Butler – the first of our three ‘voices of LFS’. Abbi’s speech is here.

Our chairman, Pan Pantziarka, followed up by introducing the new data.tp53.org.uk and the three databases that the Trust is now hosting/developing. His presentation is here.

Daniel McAleese from Oxford University was up next, and introduced the new MyTP53 project. Presentation here.

Emma Woodward from Manchester University discussed radiotherapy and cancer screening from an LFS point of view. Her presentation will be forthcoming.

Our second ‘voice of LFS’ was Victor, who spoke about LFS in Brazil and how it compares to the UK. Presentation here.

Sarah Blagden, Oxford University, gave us an update on the progress of the MILI trial, and on the in-going struggle to get access to annual whole-body MRI to every person with LFS. Presentation here.

Raheleh Rahbari and Joe Christopher, of the Sanger Institute in Cambridge, followed with an update on the LiFTS study. Presentation here.

Finally, Katie Marston, our last ‘voice of LFS’, closed the conference with her reflections on living life with LFS.

Overall, it was a packed day – with a good mixture of speakers and a chance to catch up with old friends and welcome new ones to our community.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers who helped on the day – and of course we remain grateful for the generous support from our friends at the Addie Brady Foundation for co-funding the conference and helping us develop the LFS community.
